"While I was asked for a recipe,
I had no idea of the scope of Ther Artist's Palate. It is supposed to
be a cookbook--and it is. But this is not for someone who needs a cookbook.
However, you will have to know how to open a can--which you do sharing
Edward Hopper's Campbell's tomato soup, Nabisco crackers, and coffee,
when you visit with Peter Ornstein and Mr. & Mrs. Edward Hopper.
And you'll need to have some cooking experience to serve one of Le Corbusier's
two feasts for Ozenfant.
The recipes are fun and sometimes great, but the book is much more.
It's worth buying for any one or all of the following; the photographs
of the artists, the artwork, the essays as well as the recipes. It's
for the food loving connoisseur, art lover, gift giver. It is a great
gift."
